Bio

Ilze Helgeland has been interested in storytelling in various forms, has studied both acting and graphic design, and has also worked as a TV correspondent. She graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2018 and has continued her visual storytelling journey on various themes within fine arts painting. Currently she is expanding her art education with a masters degree at the Art Academy of Latvia. In 2021, Ilze Helgeland’s painting Dio Nostalgia was exhibited at the London Art Biennale. This inspired her to pursue this theme further and she has now created a whole series of Nostalgia works, highlighting the fast-paced passage of time, the great changes and developments in technology.  

 

Ilze’s current focus in art is to catch the beauty and atmosphere in a single moment. There is sentiment and melancholy in her art searching for true feelings.
